The 2011 Annual PDD Conference will be coming up in April this year. The conference will take place April 26 – 29 at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. This is always an informative and fun conference for staff and elected officials from around the state. It is usually well attended by NCPDD elected officials, and I’ve always heard positive comments about the conference from those officials who attend. The conference provides a good balance of informative sessions and enjoyable activities. Registration for the conference
is available now at the Central Mississippi PDD website: www.cmpdd.org. We will be getting information out to you soon about registering for the conference. So mark your calendar for April 26 – 29 on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
I would also like to remind everyone to be thinking about good projects to submit for CDBG funding. This would include such projects as water, sewer, streets/roads, drainage, and public building improvements (including handicapped accessibility). The next application round will be May 16 – 20. Our staff will be in contact with our cities and counties soon to discuss potential projects.
